WWII Heritage City
Valley City holds a unique distinction as North Dakota’s only World War II Heritage City, a recognition that honors the community’s vital role during the war. Visitors can step back in time through interpretive panels located throughout the community, sharing powerful stories of service and sacrifice. Discover how the iconic Hi-Line Bridge was once guarded around the clock to protect its strategic importance in moving troops and supplies across the country and about the local men and women who served on the front lines and at home—from courageous nurses who cared for the wounded to the families who kept the community strong during uncertain times.

Leave Your Legacy
By becoming a member, you help preserve and promote our shared history while enjoying special benefits along the way. We offer flexible membership tiers for individuals, families, and businesses — each designed to deepen your connection to the museum. No matter the level, your support makes a lasting difference.
